Tuesday the chance to voice opinions on cannabis

If you have an opinion on the future of cannabis in Fayette County, and many of us do, next Tuesday night will be your opportunity to voice it.
The Fayette County Board is scheduled to vote on an ordinance governing whether the county will have cannabis-related businesses, and, if so, how many.
That vote will also determine whether the county would be a possible landing spot for a planned cannabis growing, processing and transporting facility.
County board members heard those plans on Tuesday night, and those on both sides of the fence offered their opinions on such a facility here. Much of that is in a story on Tuesday's meeting on today's front page.
Board Chairman Jeff Beckman, who voiced his opinion against any cannabis in the county, urged board members to get the opinions of others and "do some soul-searching" prior to Tuesday's regular board meeting.
If you have an opinion, contact your county board representative or other county board members, or attend Tuesday's county board meeting.
It's your opportunity to let those who represent us know how you feel.
