Be a part of 2020 Census

It's something that takes just a few minutes, something that is of huge benefit to our community. It's participating in the 2020 Census.
The counting for this year's Census ends on Sept. 30, so, if you haven't already done so, we encourage you to participate.
In case you didn't realize, the Census plays an important role in many decisions made locally, in our state and across our nation.
The Census helps in:
• Determining the distribution of billions of dollars in federal and state funds for such things as communities, schools, hospitals, highways and school lunch programs.
• Providing personal information that could help you qualify for such things as a pension or obtaining an inheritance.
• The reapportionment of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
• Drawing federal, state and local legislative districts.
• Budget planning for government at all levels.
• Establishing fair-market rents and enforcing fair lending practices.
• Developing assistance for low-income families.
• Locating factory sites and distribution centers.
• Genealogical research.
• Medical research.
• Historical research.
• Attracting new business to state and local areas.
