John W. Lofland, 57, of Vandalia, died on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo.
No services will be held at this time. Visitation will beheld from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Memorials: The family.
Mr. Lofland was born on June 19, 1953, in Vandalia, the son of Glen Lofland and Ruth Williams Lofland-Neeley.
He was a driver for Statewide Tire Distributors of Vandalia, and a member of Vandalia Moose Lodge No. 1447, ABATE and the Teamsters’ Union.

Mildred N. Thierry, 91, of Vandalia, died at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Greenville Regional Hospital in Greenville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church in rural Vandalia, with the Rev. Dan Rush officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Donor’s choice.

Lawrence Edward Brown, 75, of Vandalia, died at 3:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at his home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery in rural Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday, both at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mary Louise Dixon, 79, of Vandalia, and formerly of Mattoon, died at 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Ave. in Mattoon, with the Rev. Thomas Farris officiating. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery. Wilmer D. Crawford, 90, of Vandalia, died at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with Masonic rites at 5:30 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church.
