A benefit is being held this Sunday at the Brownstown Elementary Cafeteria for a Brownstown youth battling cancer.
The benefit, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., is for Tresten Wall, who was diagnosed at age 7 with medulloblastoma. He has been undergoing surgeries, MRI’s, radiation and chemotherapy treatments for over a year at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
While undergoing treatments, he has been suffering from side effects that have resulted in multiple trips back to St. Louis.
The benefit is to help raise money for unexpected visits to the hospital, medical bills, travel expenses and future follow-up appointments for hearing tests, MRI’s, and blood work and transfusions for months to follow.
The benefit will include a meal consisting of pulled pork, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, corn, chips, dessert and drinks. The cost is $8, and $2 for an additional sandwich.
It will also include a cake walk and raffle.
