Niehaus
The descendents of Louis and Alma Niehaus met for the annual Niehaus reunion at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Parish Hall for a noon meal and fellowship on Saturday, July 19.
Those who attended were: Velva Fisher, Malinda Perry, and Sandy and Mike Gidcumb, Vandalia; Iva Burgess, Salem; Clarence and Charlotte Niehaus, Carbondale, Fern and Glen Riechmann, Greencastle, Ind.; Jane and Jim Ballough, Lebanon, Ky.; Mary Helen Niehaus, Centralia; Doug and Nancy Ambuehl, Jim and Ruth Baldwin, Greenville; Bev and Jim Atchley, Kirkwood, Mo.; Betty Koelling, Posey; Ronnie and Ingrid Lanford, Glendale, Ky.; Gary Niehaus, Bloomington; and Debbie and Denny Sparks, and Amber, Lillie and Landon Babb, Hillsboro, Mo.

Schnake
The Schnake family reunion, normally held in St. Peter, has been canceled for this year due to other obligations.
The next reunion will be held next year.

Finley
The Finley family reunion will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia.
Family members and friends are invited to attend.

Torbeck
The annual Torbeck reunion was held on Sunday, July 20, at the Senior Citizens Center in Vandalia, with 25 people present.
Don Torbeck and Diane Torbeck gave the welcome, and Kenny Torbeck offered the prayer before the meal.
The business meeting was conducted by the reunion president, Don Torbeck, with assistance from Karen Torbeck.
The oldest person present was Betty Rubin, 83, and the youngest was Jonathon Torbeck, 15.
Married the longest were Marvin and Jean Torbeck, and Jerry and Carolyn Torbeck, both 51 years.
Deaths reported were Eldon Torbeck, Donna Smail and Pat (Torbeck) Schroedel. Births reported were Cohen Robert Kruenegel, Edmund Albert Torbeck III, Grayson Slocum and Jason Neal.
Traveling the farthest were Ed and Dorothy Torbeck, 150 miles from Montgomery City, Mo.
A family auction was held, with Jonathon Torbeck serving as auctioneer, with assistance from Jane Naab. A 50/50 drawing was held, and the winner was Cindy Dippold.
Attending were Jane Naab, Vicki Beall, Ron Torbeck, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Torbeck, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Torbeck and Jonathon from Vandalia; Linda Hanabarger and Ethan Hanaberger from Ramsey; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dippold from Farina, Betty Rubin and Bob Rubin from St. Peter, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Torbeck from Odin, Sandy Adkison from Greenville; Ivan Torbeck from Brownstown; Mr. and Mrs. Don Torbeck, and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Baker from Mattoon; Jacob Torbeck from St. Charles, Mo.; and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Torbeck from Montgomery City, Mo.
Sefton
The annual Southern Illinois Sefton reunion will be held on Saturday at Liberty Christian Church Fellowship Hall, with a noon potluck meal. Drinks and table service will be provided.
Liberty Christian Church is located five miles north of Brownstown.
