Three Vandalia seniors were named all-conference by softball and baseball coaches in the South Central Conference.
Megan Godoyo earned two all-conference selections, including one spot on the first team.
Godoyo was named the first-team designated hitter/utility player after leading Vandalia’s offense in South Central Conference play this season, and also earned third-team pitching honors.
Offensively, she hit .360 in the conference season, smacking one home run, two triples and two doubles, while driving home seven runs and scoring four times.
From the pitcher’s circle, she had a 7.02 earned-run average while pitching all of the conference games. Godoyo struck out 69 hitters in 50 innings.
Taylor Well was selected as a third-team outfielder for the Lady Vandals.
She hit .375, with a triple, double, seven RBI and two runs during the conference season.
For the baseball team, Carson Smith was the lone selection as one of the three third-team catchers.
Smith hit .308 during the conference season, adding a double, four RBI and a run.
