Slow start dooms Lady Vandals on Monday
A slow start for the Lady Vandals put them too far behind Neoga on Monday night in a 50-40 loss.
Sophomore Madelyn Hosick had a balanced game with 11 rebounds, seven points, two assists and two steals, and freshman Emma Meyer added 10 points, three rebounds and three steals.
But with just 14 points in the first half, Vandalia (1-7) was unable to erase its 15-point halftime deficit, even though the Lady Vandals showed improvement in the last two quarters.
E.C. Thies had a game-high 19 points for Neoga, and she hit four 3-pointers.
