NTC Tournament to begin next Tuesday for area girls

Two local teams will travel to Beecher City High School next week for the National Trail Conference girls basketball tournament.

Brownstown/St. Elmo and South Central drew the two lowest seeds in the seven-team event, but both will look to pull some upsets and make it to the final day.

The tournament schedule follows.

Game 1: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City vs. Dieterich, 5:30 p.m.
Game 2: Altamont vs. South Central, 7 p.m.
Game 3: Neoga vs. Brownstown/St. Elmo, 8:30 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 29
Game 4: Loser Game 2 vs. Loser Game 3, 5:30 p.m.
Game 5: St. Anthony vs. Winner Game 1, 7 p.m.
Game 6: Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3, 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 30
Game 7:  Loser Game 1 vs. Winner Game 4, 10 a.m. (consolation championship)
Game 8: Loser Game 5 vs. Loser Game 6, 11:30 a.m. (third place)
Game 9: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6, 1 p.m. (championship)
