PHOTOS: Jr. Lady Vandals fall to Hillsboro

The Vandalia Junior High girls basketball teams were in action at home on Tuesday, taking on Hillsboro.

The eighth-graders fell, 28-18, but the seventh-grade score was not available by press time.

The eighth-grade Jr. Lady Vandals cut the lead down in the fourth quarter, but Hillsboro made several free throws in the final 1:30 to secure the win.

Bailee Workman led the team with five points, while Sydney Austin and Olivia Marquardt added four. Palmer and Leila Hess each had two points, and Rachel Zimmerman made a free throw.

The Jr. Lady Vandals have three regular season games left, and travel to Ramsey on Thursday for the next contest.
