Schedules released for IHSA regional volleyball tournaments

The Illinois High School Association has released the seeds and schedules for this season’s regional volleyball tournaments, which begin on Oct. 28. In the Class 2A regional at St. Elmo High School, Vandalia will be the No. 4 seed, and St. Elmo/Brownstown will be the No. 5 seed. Others in that tournament are: (1) Altamont, (2) Metro East Lutheran, (3) Flora and (6) Hillsboro. The schedule for the event follows. Monday, Oct. 28 •6 p.m.: (4) Vandalia vs. (5) St. Elmo/Brownstown •7 p.m.: (3) Flora vs. (6) Hillsboro Tuesday, Oct. 29 •6 p.m.: (1) Altamont vs. Winner of Game 1 •7 p.m.: (2) Metro-East Lutheran vs. Winner of Game 2 Thursday, Oct. 31 •6 p.m.: Winner of Game 2 vs. Winner of Game 3 In the Class 1A regional at South Central High School, North Clay has the top seed, and will be followed by four local teams: (2) South Central, (3) Patoka, (4) Mulberry Grove and (5) Ramsey. The schedule for that tournament follows.
