PHOTO: Field of Dreams committee donates fence toppers

Fence toppers have been installed on the Freight Field (pictured) and the Pit Field thanks to a donation from the Vandalia Field of Dreams committee.

The committee purchased the materials and donated them to the park district, which recently did the installation.

“It makes the fields look so much better,” said VFOD President Tom Lucken.

The committee will hold its next public meeting next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Vandalia Community High School.
