Brownstown gets 4th at Turkey Tourney

Brownstown had the best finish among area teams at the Ramsey/Mulberry Grove Super Turkey Tournament last week.

The Bombers finished 2-2 to place fourth at the tournament, earning wins against Mulberry Grove and Odin and losing to Sandoval in pool play and Christ Our Rock, 50-47, in the third-place game.

Sandoval was the eventual tournament champion, defeating Cowden-Herrick in overtime, 75-66.

Mulberry Grove defeated Patoka, 45-39, to place fifth, and Ramsey beat Odin, 63-52, in the seventh-place game.

Bombers junior Austin Hunter averaged 16.5 points per game during the tournament, including a career-high 33 points during the win against Odin. He scored in double digits in two other games.

Matt Sefton, also a junior, was second in scoring, with 9.25 points per game, including two games in double digits.
