Engagement

Sarah Kash and Shawn Meyer have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The future bride is the daughter of Randall and Debra Kash of Scheller. Grandparents are the late Bill and Phyllis Kash of Waltonville, and the late Howard and Peggy Williams of Bonnie.
She is a 2004 graduate of Waltonville High School and a 2008 graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in health care management. She is currently pursuing a degree in nursing at Rend Lake College.
The future groom is the son of Robert Meyer of St. Peter and Chuck and Sharon Boyles of Branson, Mo. Grandparents are Vernon and the late Alma Meyer of St. Peter, and Herschel and Barbara Ambuehl of St. Peter.
He is a 1997 graduate of South Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in zoology. He is currently employed by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The couple are planning an Oct. 8 wedding at Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist Church in Sesser.
A reception will follow at the Benton Civic Center.
