Patoka boys 5-2 on season

The Patoka High School boys basketball team may have lost to Odin last Tuesday, but the final score only determined one of the winners that night.

All of the proceeds from that game went to the American Cancer Society as part of the Coaches vs. Cancer series. Odin won the battle on the court, 58-33.

The Warriors followed up that game with a win on Friday, defeating Sandoval, 66-59.

Senior Blake Budds had a breakout double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Sophomore Jake Orrell scored 13 points off the bench; in total, Patoka’s bench scored 37 points, while Sandoval’s recorded just one.

The Warriors trailed 16-0 early in the game, but used good shooting and rebounding to make a comeback.
Patoka attempted 45 free throws in the contest.
