South Central girls fall to Cowden/Beecher City
A short-handed South Central High School girls basketball team was defeated by Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on Monday, 88-27.
CHBC returned most of the team that finished third in the Class 1A State Tournament last season and faced a Cougars squad that had only six healthy players.
"The girls played hard and never quit," said coach Gary Kapper. "They played with a lot of heart.
"We have some things to work on, but if they come out and play hard like this every night, we will be competitive."
The Cougars will play at North Clay on Thursday at 6:15 p.m.
