Vandalia travels to Greenville for Volley for the Cure

The Vandalia High School volleyball team lost a conference match to Pana last Thursday, falling in straight sets, 25-9, 25-16.

Sierah Ruffner led the team with nine kills. Holly Goldsmith added four, and Taylor Parrish had three.

The JV team also lost in straight sets, 19-25, 22-25.

Amber Bruno had six kills for the Vandals, and Shelby Foster had two service aces.

The team is back in action Thursday night, when it travels to Greenville for its annual Volley for the Cure match. Vandalia hosted and won last season’s match in three sets while raising more than $5,000 for Bond and Fayette counties' Relays for Life.
