Robert “Bobby” Wilhelmy, 89, of Vandalia, died at 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown, with the Rev. Peter Kolb officiating. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family.

Mr. Wilhelmy was born on Oct. 29, 1921, in Madison, the son of Albert and Ida Trowler Wilhelmy.

George J. Hawk, 46, of Vandalia, died on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joseph Havrilka officiating.

Evelyn E. Maske, 85, of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Peter Kolb officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia and one hour before services on Monday at the church. Memorials: Holy Cross Radio Ministry or Holy Cross Bus Fund. Arthur J. Turner, 94, of Vandalia, and formerly of Altamonth, died at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Private services and burial will be at a later date. Private family visitation was held on Friday at Kull Funeral Chapel in Altamont. Memorials: Donor’s choice.

Mr. Turner was born on May 21, 1917, in Bigsby County, Mo., the son of James B. and Adia Miner Turner. He married.

Jean G. Carter, 65, of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Vandalia.

M. Gladys “Willie” Houck, 97, of Vandalia, died on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Vandalia.
