Elaine Schutz, 90, of Vandalia, died at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at McInturff Cemetery in Hagarstown, with the Rev. Viktoria Parvin officiating. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vandalia.

At the end of that hour, aldermen present for that meeting agreed that this will not be an easy decision to make, and not one to make before getting as much input as possible from local residents.
