Jays baseball heads for home stretch of season

As the Greenville Jr. High Bluejay baseball team heads for the final stretch of their 2024 campaign the squad has compiled a 10-8 record.
They have played 10 games since our last update and have played .500 baseball during that stretch.
On Aug. 31, they hosted a quadrangular and beat Litchfield/Mt. Olive in their opener 11-1.
The Jays jumped on top with five runs in the third on their way to a six-inning win.
Brody Hawkins had three hits and two triples with an RBI. Brayden Lindley had the same stat line with one triple.
Liam Potthast added a double.
Kobe Atchison had a single with an RBI as did Jackson Swalley.
William Schneck and Connor Wayman also had hits for the Jays.
Easton Walker added an RBI as did Joey Sanchez.
