Lady Comets tennis beats Saunton in SCC matchup

The Greenville High School girls tennis team continued their difficult schedule this week.

They secured a win over Staunton/Bunker Hill but fell on the road to Flora and in a quadrangular event at Gordon Moore Park in Alton.

On Sept. 17 GHS beat Staunton/Bunker Hill 7-2 at the Greenville University Tennis Courts.

GHS won five of their six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.

Maddie Hardin won at number two singles 7-5, 6-0 while Ava Lagermann swept through her number three singles opponent 6-0, 6-0.

Ella Jurgena won 6-2, 6-1 at four singles with Erin Drannan taking a 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles.

Cassidy Beavor won her number six singles match 6-0, 6-3.
