Lady Comets pull off comeback win to beat Aces

When they needed it, GHS answered back.

And they needed it.

GHS held a 6-0 lead after two innings, but MG roared back scoring eight runs in the next two innings to claim an 8-7 lead going into the fifth inning.

But the Lady Comets played winning softball by answering each inning with at least one run to claim a 9-8 victory at Panther Field in Greenville on May 9.

“The girls did a great job battling through some adversity toward the middle innings,” said GHS coach Steve Dannaman. “Ava Potthast threw well getting some key strikeouts to end innings.”
