Brownstown cheerleaders are state-bound
The Brownstown High School cheerleading squad qualified for the Illinois High School Association state competition, which will be held on Friday and Saturday in Bloomington.
In addition, the Lady Bombers qualified for the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association Championships, which will be held on Feb. 11 in Springfield.
The cheerleaders are pictured above. In the front row, from left, are: Kelly Swofford, Destanie Ishum and India Sidwell. In the middle row are: Tara Johnson, Brittany Kistler, Alyssa Cole and Tabitha Dolan. In the back are: Sue Dufaux, Ashton Smith, Emily Frailey, Kristen Pontious, Shaula Stokes and Michaela Walk. The squad is coached by Deb Hunter and Laura Lakin.
