The Mulberry Grove Aces boys basketball team took part in the Greenville University summer tournament on June 24-25.
Mulberry Grove played eight games over the two days.
“We had all competitive games and didn’t lose any games and didn’t lose any games by more than 10,” said MG coach Sam Barber. “Definitely seeing an improvement in the team.”
The Aces beat Broadlands (Heritage). They fell to Patoka, Bunker Hill, Moweaqua (Central A&M), St. Elmo/Brownstown, Junction (Gallatin County), and Griggsville-Perry.
“We beat Heritage, we really started coming together as a team and making the extra pass instead trying to play iso ball,” said Barber. “We could not knock down the shots but really got better at finding the best shot. I have high hopes for the season when they will be getting up shots consistently.”
