McCullough to play basketball for the Panthers

By Mark Jurgena, Advocate Sports Staff

Class of 2024 Greenville High School graduate Natalie McCullough has announced her plans to play basketball in her hometown for Greenville University.

She follows both her brothers (Grant and Peyton McCullough) along with her Dad (Matt) to the court at H.J. Long Gymnasium.

“It feels great,” she began. “It’s a great opportunity, I’m really thankful and I’m really excited about this upcoming season.

“With my Dad and my brothers, I feel like it’s a family legacy that I’m glad I get to uphold.”

She indicated that her success and her team’s success from this past season helped spark a fire for her to want to play in college.

“It definitely did (help),” she said. “Getting back from that knee injury it made me realize that I was not ready for my basketball career to be over.”
