Lady Comets softball players named to all-conference squads

The Greenville High School softball team improved to 14-18 on the season and 3-6 in SCC play. As a result, some Lady Comets received recognition from the South Central Conference coaches.

Four GHS athletes were named to the squad.

Sophomores Haylee Clark and Zoee Englert were named to the second-team squad.

Clark was an outfielder who led GHS in several categories. Overall for the season, she hit .434 with 10 home runs and 42 RBI. Clark also led the team with 49 hits.

“She showed her power this year and made some key plays for us in the outfield,” said GHS coach Steve Dannaman.
