Atwood All-Stars win two of three; Roger Craig Welding earns slo-pitch league championship

The Atwood All-Stars won two of three games against the Murray All-Stars on Monday night during the Vandalia Field of Dreams men’s slo-pitch softball All-Star Game, and Roger Craig Welding earned the regular-season championship last Wednesday.

Murray took the first All-Star Game, 5-2, while Atwood took 4-3 wins in games two and three. Game three went eight innings.

Roger Craig Welding picked up the tournament title on tie-breaking criteria after BCH Detailing won two games on Wednesday to finish with a 13-7 record.

During the season, Roger Craig Welding and BCH Detailing split their four games, but because Roger Craig Welding scored more runs in those games, it earned the title.

Copper Penny finished at 10-10, Montgomery Electric/Plumbing finished 9-11 and Patoka Fire Dept. finished 5-15.
