Riedle Law Office wins St. Paul basketball league
The St. Paul summer basketball league recently held its championship tournament, with Riedle Law Office winning the title.
Riedle won the best-of-three championship series against the Pink Panthers, winning game one, 49-45, and game two, 58-52.
The tournament started with play-in games for seeds 3-6.
Joe’s Pizza defeated the Opfer Clan, and China Gate defeated Team Bushue. China Gate went on to defeat Joe’s Pizza, 68-46, while the Opfer Clan beat Team Bushue.
Joe’s Pizza then used a 24-4 run in the third quarter to beat the Opfer Clan, 74-63.
In the championship semifinals, Riedle defeated Joe’s and the Pink Panthers defeated China Gate.
Angel Osorio of Joe’s Pizza was the tournament MVP, and Matt Riedle, Mitch Johnson and Caleb Bushue were also on the tournament all-star team.
In the 3-point shootout, Jake Holliday placed first, Sam Stock placed second, Matt Riedle placed third and Lucas Benning placed fourth.
