First Baptist Church hosts ladies’ banquet

More than 100 members and guests enjoyed the annual Ladies' Spring Banquet last Thursday at First Baptist Church.

Vintage memorabilia was the theme of the evening. Bouquets of spring flowers decorated each table.
Elaine Culbertson gave the welcome, and Beulah Brown asked the blessing for the meal and gave thanks for the National Week of Prayer that the community had been observing.
Following the meal, Michelle Weaver’s alter ego – the ever-entertaining “Miss Daisy” – entered, bringing music and much laughter to the room.
Culbertson thanked those present for coming, and Panzi Blackwell led in the closing prayer, giving thanks for the gift of laughter and for all blessings received.
