Augsburg communion service Saturday

Immanuel Lutheran Augsburg Church will hold a communion service this Saturday at 6 p.m.
The church is located at the intersection of 900 N and 1300 E, four miles east of U.S. Route 51 on the St. Peter Blacktop.

St. Louis Church to hold rummage sale

The St. Louis Parents' Club in Nokomis is sponsoring its semi-annual rummage sale this Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8-11 a.m.
The sale will be held at the St. Louis Parish Center at 523 E. Union St. in Nokomis.

Summer lunch program meeting set
Did you know that more than half of the children in Fayette County are eligible for free or reduced price lunch during the school year? The mission of a summer lunch program is to provide children with a free and nutritious lunch during the summer months when they are not in school. We need your help. Donations of jars of creamy peanut butter and grape jam or jelly are being sought. Volunteers are also needed to help prepare and distribute the lunches.
 An informational meeting for volunteers will be held on Wednesday, May 11, at 4:30 p.m., at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson in Vandalia. Signup sheets will be available so volunteers can choose the days they would like to help. Those who are unable to attend the meeting can call Pat Rhodes to get signed up.
