Three Jr. Vandals advance to IKWF state tourney

Three Vandalia Jr. Club wrestlers advanced to this weekend's Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation novice and senior  state tournament at the Rockford MetroCentre in Rockford.

Bobby Bradley (novice 130), and Dalton Blankenship (senior 130) both placed third, and Blake Cripe (senior 156) placed first at the Vandalia sectional on Saturday to advance.

Fourteen other Jr. Club wrestlers participated at the sectional.

Bradley will face Bradley Nelson of the Hampshire Wrestling Club in the first round of the state tournament. Blankenship will face Andrew Marsden of the Crystal Lake Wizards.

Cripe's opponent will be the winner between Chris Murino of Orland Park and Christophe Morgan of the Maywood Gladiators.
