Wedding
Caylee Orr and John Zimmer, both of Kentucky, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on May 14, 2011, at Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah, Ky., with the Rev. Frank McCullum, grandfather of the bride, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Meri Orr of Marion, Ky.
She chose her sister, Cagney Farmer, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allyson Bond of Paducah, friend of the bride, and Shea Shewcraft, cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Megan and Hannah Otey, nieces of the groom, and the ringbearer was Turner Sharp, a friend of the groom.
Lauren Otey of St. Louis, Mo., a niece of the groom, was a miniature bride, and Tucker Sharp of Marion, Ky., a friend of the groom, was a miniature groom.
The groom, formerly of Vandalia, is the son of Bud and Jill Zimmer of Vandalia.
He chose a friend, Travis Knebel, as his best man. Groomsmen were two of his friends, Joe Kirk of Vandalia and Andrew Swain of Ledbetter, Ky.
A reception at Carson Center in Paducah followed the wedding.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
The bride graduated from Crittenden County High School in 2005, and graduated from West Kentucky Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
The groom graduated from Vandalia Community High School in 2003, and graduated from Greenville College with a bachelor’s degree in environmental management. He is employed as a wildlife biologist for Quail Unlimited in the western Kentucky region.
