Wedding

Bethany Gabrielle Stuemke and Lee Anthony Doyle were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at the Wallace pond and gazebo of Bethany’s grandparents.

The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Lori Stuemke of Altamont.
She chose her sister, Emily Stuemke of Altamont, to be maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Wohltman of Altamont, cousin of the bride; and friends of the bride, Brittany Robinson of Altamont and Kala Ealy of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The groom is the son of Tim and Ellen Doyle of Ramsey.
He chose his father, Tim Doyle, as best man. Groomsmen were Neil Knight of Carbondale, Ian Lohnes of Carbondale, and Marty Martinez of Carbondale, all friends of the groom.
Ushers were Ben Sporleder of Effingham, cousin of the bride; and cousins of the groom, Matthew Sefton of Brownstown, and Brandon Walk of Altamont.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Immanuel Parish Hall of Altamont. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Asheville, N.C.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Altamont High School and a 2011 graduate of Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, with a degree as a veterinary technician. She is employed by Heidanes Hidden Timbers in Altamont.
The groom was home-schooled, graduating in 2003. He received an associate’s degree in agribusiness economics from Kaskaskia College in 2006, and a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil science in 2008 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is completing his master’s degree in soil science from SIUC. He is employed at Schillinger Genetics in Vandalia.
The couple resides in Altamont.
