AMVETS Make Contribution To The Food Bank

AMVETS Post 140 made its annual contribution to the Bond County Food Bank this past week. Last year the local post donated 120 boxes of spaghetti and 120 jars of pasta sauce.

This year the membership voted to donate 60 each of spaghetti, pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly with the local Capri IGA donating the peanut butter.

Previously the AMVETS Post allocated a portion of the proceeds from their annual BBQ fundraiser to the food bank. Last year the membership voted to purchase and deliver food items

instead of donating money.
