Vandalia 10U girls pick up two wins Saturday

The Vandals 10 U girls softball team picked up two wins in its round robin on Saturday at Shed Field in Vandalia.
In the first game, Vandalia scored two runs in the final inning to defeat the Clinton County Xplosion, 10-8.
Addyson Schmitt got the win, striking out nine with no walks while allowing eight hits and eight runs, seven of them earned.

In their second game, Vandalia clobbered the Gillespie Minuettes, 12-1.
Mady McCall got the win, striking out 10 and allowing just one hit, while walking five and allowing one earned run.
