Brownstown-Sefton News

Playing Hooky …
… at least a little bit. This weather is so nice and the deck is so inviting that I can hardly settle down to sitting at my computer and write and I hope my editors understand.
There is still a shortage of news and announcements, so I haven’t had to work very hard, but as things are beginning to open up a little (COVID-19 is hopefully going down), I will have to get busy.
It is very tempting to move my computer out on the deck, but I can’t move the visual aids outside, so please be patient with my attack of “summer sunshine syndrome.”

A Golden Years Club Announcement …
… revealed that the “Cracker Barrel Girls” will soon be back in person for a  return engagement (by popular request) at the Golden Years club.
They have been in retirement for a while, so they have to get back in gear for their sometimes rambunctious and unpredictable presentation (lines to learn, hair curled, tap-dancing shoes shined, bloomers pressed, etc.)
Word has it that one of the crowds’ favorites, Miss Dolly Parton (aka Lavonne Kramer), is getting her hairdo rebuilt and accessories back in shape for the show.
Further information will be announced in this column.
Brownstown United
Methodist Church
