Meeting on expanding liquor sales now is Nov. 21
A meeting that the city of Vandalia had planned for this Saturday to discuss the possible expansion of liquor sales has been rescheduled.
That meeting of the city’s railroad, economic development and tourism committees was to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, but was rescheduled due to the Vandalia Vandals being in a playoff game at Williamsville.
That meeting will now be held at 5 p.m. next Thursday.
City Administrator LaTisha Paslay will present the results of research that she conducted on liquor sales in other communities.
Also to be considered is a letter from Tim McMillan, the owner of a local liquor store, regarding the idea of expanding liquor sales in Vandalia.
