Myers was born and raised in St. Elmo, and has raised his family in that community.
He was nominated by St. Elmo resident Sandra Mace.
Her reasons for nominating Myers included, “He is a very responsible and dependable person.
"He is the school bus driver for my grandchildren and I am glad he is.
“His character and involvement in the community allows him to be a great role model for the young individuals he drives every day.
“Randy has done so much for St. Elmo and I think he deserves to be Citizen of the Year,” Mace stated in her nomination letter.
