Lady Vandals suffer 4 losses at Effingham Tournament
The Lady Vandals closed out play in the Effingham Tournament on Monday with a 45-39 loss to Bloomington.
Lanee McNary scored 16 points and Megan Kern had 11 points, and both of them were named to the all-tournament team.
Vandalia was up 17-14 after one quarter, but were then held to just four points in the second quarter to fall behind by three, 24-21, at halftime.
The Lady Vandals were within three, 36-33, heading into the final quarter, but Bloomington had a three-point edge in the fourth to pick up the win.
McNary had four rebounds and three steals, and Kern had 8 rebounds.

Three-pointers – McNary 4, Hill 1.
State-ranked Effingham defeated the Lady Vandals, 75-35, at the tournament.
McNary also scored 16 points, and had five rebounds and four steals.
Samantha Miller pulled down seven rebounds and Megan Kern had four rebounds.

Pana defeated the Lady Vandals, 48-29, last Thursday at the tournament.
McNary led Vandalia with 17 points, including three three-pointers.
