Matoush scores 30 in Lady Toppers’ win over Vandalia

Hillsboro’s Sammi Matoush scored 30 points and the Lady ‘Toppers prevented any double-digit scorers in a 56-30 win over Vandalia last Wednesday.
Matoush scored 13 points as Hillsboro jumped out to a 16-7 first quarter lead. The Lady ‘Toppers scored 16 points and held the Lady Vandals to four in the second quarter to lead 32-11 at halftime.
Bailey Stewart led Vandalia with nine points and Megan Kern had eight.
McNary had six rebounds, two assists and two steals; Kern had three rebounds and three assists; and Stewart had five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
