KC, Greenville renew 2-2 agreement

Kaskaskia College and Greenville University have partnered together to offer several programs for students to seamlessly transition from their associate’s degree to their bachelor’s degree.
Students receive their associate’s degree plus additional credit at KC, then transfer to Greenville University to complete their bachelor’s degree.
Students can transfer up to 87 credits to receive their degree online in the following majors: business management, criminal justice and organizational leadership.
A bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education is 100 percent on campus at Kaskaskia College and is offered in the evening for the student’s convenience.
Dr. Ashley Becker, vice president of instruction for Kaskaskia, and Renae Bauer, director of university partnerships for Greenville, signed the agreements this week.
Becker said, “All three articulation agreements allow Kaskaskia College students to complete their four-year degree more seamlessly.”
Bauer said that Greenville is excited about the long-standing partnership. “We are currently working towards offering multiple 2+2 transfer programs in secondary education, a dual major in early childhood/elementary education, biology, engineering, music, communication, journalism and digital media programs”.
Students who participate in any of the articulation agreements will receive advising from both institutions, which will assist students with a timely degree completion.
The articulation agreements are another way to ensure KC students have a smooth transition upon completion of their associate’s degree, which allows students to save time and money.
