Baptism
Anderson William Jones was baptized on Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He is the son of Nick and Mallory Jones. Anderson’s godparents are Reid Drewes and Danielle Chasteen.
Death
Merle Storck, 90, of Farina, died on Sunday, Aug. 12.
The funeral was held on Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Prairie Days
Prairie Days is almost here and the committee is again asking for donations of cakes for the cake walk.
Take cakes to the park prior to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Donations of pies for the lunch stand are also needed.
The pies can be taken to the food stand (north pavilion) any time Saturday.
Volunteers are needed to help in the food stand (including soda and shake-ups).

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
Sunday morning worship attendance was 229.
The organist was the Rev. Alan Holtz.
Max Magnus served as acolyte.
Darrell Wollin and Ed Young were attending elders.
