Fayette County Board to vote on sanctuary vote for unborn human beings
For the second time in two months, the Fayette County Board is scheduled to consider following the Effingham County Board on an issue.
A month after the Effingham board approved a resolution declaring that county as a sanctuary for the life of unborn human beings, the Fayette County Board will consider on Tuesday night a similar resolution.
The resolution states:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE FAYETTE COUNTY BOARD declares Fayette County a Sanctuary for the unborn, that life begins at conception, and that the practices of the Fayette County government will reflect this resolution until such time that acceptable proof of when life begins is scientifically determined beyond a reasonable doubt, and Fayette
County condemns voluntary abortion practices used for any reason;_emergency medical interventions done for the mother and / or unborn child that may have the unintended side effect of harming the other are acceptable, but intentional killing of an innocent human life is never acceptable.
The Fayette County Board approved in May, a month after a similar resolution passed in Effingham County, a resolution declaring this county as a sanctuary for gun owners.
The Fayette County Board meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the large courtroom in the Fayette County Courthouse.
