Fireworks Saturday; no carnival this year

The Vandalia Lions Club will offer its annual fireworks display this Saturday, but it’s unable to provide a carnival this year.
Lions President Les Smith said that the fireworks display will be presented this Saturday, as usual, over Vandalia Lake.
However, Smith said, the Lions are not having a carnival in the lake marina campground this year.
Smith said that the carnival that has been used for the past few years recently ceased operations, and the Lions Club has not had enough time to find a suitable replacement.
