VJHS teams at conference meet
The Vandalia Junior High School seventh-grade boys finished second in the conference track meet with 58 points.
Individual results were:
• Second place – Hagy, long jump and 200-meter dash; Meyers, 400-meter dash; DuPlayee, pole vault; and Barker, shot put.
• Third place – Hagy, 100-meter dash; Nestrick, 200-meter run and high jump; Wilkerson, 400-meter run; 4×200 relay team of Eller, Cody, Kelly and DuPlayee; and 4×400 relay team of Wilkerson, McCall, Eller and Meyers.
• Fourth place – Nestrick, 100-meter dash; and Kelly, 800-meter run.
• Fifth place – Meyer, discus.
• Sixth place – Eller, hurdles.
The seventh-grade girls placed second with 47.33 points.
Individual results are:
• First place – Josie Womack, pole vault; and Jenna Protz, discus.
• Second place – Anna Osborne, 100-meter run; and Zoe Sattherthwaite, pole vault.
• Third place – 4×200 relay team of Shelby Bowles, Gracye Davis, Morgan Dagen and Holly Lidy; Areiana Rush, high jump; and Ashtyn Ferguson, discus.
• Fourth place – 4×100 relay team of Ferguson, Katie Eckhardt, Jillian Mouser and Womack.
• Fifth place – Autumn Payne, hurdles; 4×400 relay team of Jalyn Murray, Ryleigh Kirby, Kaylee Rosenkoetter and Ferguson; Womack, long jump; and Lillian Rees, shot put.
• Sixth place – Womack, 100-meter dash; Osborne, 200-meter dash; Bowles, 400-meter dash; Lauren Kaiser, 800-meter run; and Davis, high jump.
The eighth-graders placed fourth with 50 points.

• First place – Dawsyn Evans, pole vault and discus; and Riley Ward, shot put.
• Second place – Olivia Dunn, pole vault; and Ward, discus.
• Third place – Evans, 100-meter dash; 4×100 relay team of Osborne, Evans, Areiana Rush and Jadie Keck.
• Fourth place – Keck, 100-meter run; and Morgan Lofland, 1,600-meter run.
• Fifth place – Eckhardt, 400-meter dash; 4×200 relay team of Sachan, Rosenkoetter, Dunn and Payne; and Sachan, high jump.
• Sixth place – Sachan, 200-meter dash; Brile Depew, hurdles; and Isabella Eller, shot put and discus.
