Lady Vandals fall in 12 at Pana Regional
The Lady Vandals season came to an end on Monday with a 6-5 loss in 12 innings at the Pana regional contest.
Vandalia led 2-0 after the first inning, then Pana countered with single runs in the first three innings to lead 3-2.
The Lady Vandals knotted the scored with a run in the fifth, and they added a run in the sixth, but Pana took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the sixth.
Vandalia sent the game into extra innings with a run in the top of the seventh inning.
Kaitlyn Mills gave up one run and five hits, striking out three in 5 2/3 innings, and Morgan Lidy allowed five runs (three earned) and six hits while striking out nine and giving up one walk.
Bailey Stewart was 4-for-7 and two runs scored to lead the Lady Vandals on offense. Mills was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

On Saturday, the Lady Vandals were held to just three hits in a 10-0 loss to Sangamon Valley/Tri-City.
Kaitlyn Mills gave up two hits and three runs, struk out one and walked one in an inning of work, and Morgan Lidy allowed five hits and seven runs, striking out four and walking two in five innings.

Last Friday, Ramsey defeated the Lady Vandals, 5-3.
Ramsey led 3-2 after one inning and tacked on single runs in the second and fifth innings.
Bailey Stewart was 2-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored to lead Vandalia.
Kaitlyn Mills struck out 12, walked two, and allowed one run and one hit in five innings. Morgan Lidy gave up three runs (two earned), struck out four, and gave up three runs and four hits.
