Lady Cougars advance in regional

South Central scored 11 runs in the fifth inning to defeat Clay City, 14-4, in five innings on Monday and advance to the regional championship.
The Lady Cougars will now face Woodlawn in the Hutsonville Regional title game at 11 a.m.
Sydney Garrett pounded two home runs and was the winning pitcher for South Central, which is now 13-7 on the season.

The Lady Cougars defeated Webber, 10-3 last Friday.
Kaitlyn Hilmes went 4 1/3 innings to pick up the win, giving up three runs, eight hits and a walk. Sydnee Garrett struck out four in 2 2/3 innings.
