Friends & Families of FCH holding 5K event on May 12
Friends & Families of Fayette County Hospital will hold their annual Heart & Sole 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 12.
Registration is from 7-7:45 a.m. and the event begins at 8 a.m. at the Vandalia Shrine Club, East 2000 Ave.
The entry fee is $25. The signup deadline to guarantee a T-shirt was Saturday, but for those who signup this week, T-shirts will be made and handed out.

The event is officially timed by The Running Start of Shiloh, and awards will be given to the top three males and females.
Funds raised from this event will go toward the purchase cost of a new cardiac monitoring unit, which is now up and running.
The Fun Run/Walk is a kid-friendly event, and strollers will be allowed at the back of the pack.
Snacks and beverages will be provided, and the event is on a scenic course.
