? The Fayette County Cancer Fund will hold its second annual Survivor Dinner at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. The meal is at 6 p.m. The beef raffle drawing will be held.

Friday, April 20

? Bingo is held at Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 home. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and bingo begins at 7 p.m.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Monday, April 23

? The annual Ramsey Night/Charter Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Ramsey Cafe, with the Ramsey Lions Club hosting the Vandalia Lions Club.

Tuesday, April 24

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.

Wednesday, April 25

? SAFE (Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies) will hold its annual charity luncheon from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Administrative Professionals Day, at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. The cost is $10 per person for the meal prepared by Saathoff's Catering. The menu includes shaved smoke ham with assorted cheeses, pulled pork in homemade apple butter sauce, homemade chicken and tuna salad, and homemade salads. Carry-outs will be available.
? Bingo is held at the Vandalia Moose Lodge, starting at 7 p.m., with Lightning at 5:30 p.m.

? The Fayette County Retired Teachers meet at 10:30 a.m. at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia. All retired teachers in Fayette County are invited.
? The Evans Public Library's Homeschool Group meets from 1-2 p.m. Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a Fantastic Friday at 4 p.m. Children up to age 10 are invited to listen to stories and make pinwheels. Registration is required; to register, call the library, 283-2824.

Thursday, April 26

? WJLY Christian radio, 88.3 FM, is holding a nonprofit benefit auction dinner at Hosick's barn northwest of Vandalia. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a silent auction and fellowship, followed by an elegant dinner and live auction. Auction items include an AR-15 Ruger, 9mm Ruger, spa day passes, airplaine trip over Lake Shelbyville, four pair of Cardinals tickets with hotel and dinner certificates, 250 gallons of propane and gift cards to local restaurants. Tickets for the pork loin dinner are $25 each and can be purchased by calling 423-2082 or going online to wjly.org.

Saturday, April 28

? National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Old drugs may be dropped off at the Vandalia Police Station, in the locked, slotted box in the lobby. Anyone unable to drop off drugs can call the National Road Interpretive Center, 283-9380, for pickup by a Vandalia Woman's Club member between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 28.
