Residents need to use paper bags for landscape waste

As Vandalia residents plan to clear their yards of limbs, leaves and other landscape waste, they are reminded that only paper bags are to be used for grass clippings and leaves.
The landscape waste in paper bags, as well as limbs and sticks, is to be placed in a pile along their street for pickup.
Vandalia’s public works department routine runs routes for pickups of landscape waste once a week, usually early in the week, depending on the weather.
Large, 30-pound paper bags are available locally at a number of local businesses.
