Northside Church Pays Tribute to Veterans

The congregation of Northside Christian Church in Vandalia welcomed back a couple of familiar faces to help them observe Veterans Day.

The church combined its regular Sunday service with a program to honor veterans, as well as those currently serving in the armed forces. The Rev. Carl Rhodes (second photo), the former pastor of the church, was invited to be the guest speaker for the program and deliver the Sunday sermon. Rhodes and his wife, Pat, are both veterans.  Veterans on hand for the combined program and service included Brad Elmore (first photo).
